All Sabre Team:
Coaches nominate athletes after every season of play based on their attitude, coachability, commitment, sportsmanship, leadership, and skill.  Athletes need to play a minimum of two sports and cannot have any N's on their report cards.  A committee of coaches looks at all nominees to finalize decisions.

Academic Awards:
Gr 8: Academic Effort & Athletic Excellence: students with all G's for effort marks and play a minimum of two sports.
Gr 9: Academic & Athletic Excellence: students with all A's and  G's and play a minimum of two sports.
Gr 10-12: Academic & Athletic Excellence: students with an academic average >= 90% and all G's  and play a minimum of two sports.
Scholar Athletes of the Year (10-12): The top overall average in each grade with all G's  and play a minimum of two sports.

*Note the calculation of the averages is different that what is used for District Honours
**Coaching constitutes the same as playing a sport as it requires the same amount of time given to an athletic program.  This is a way for single sport athletes to qualify for awards requiring a minimum of two sports.
